Extensive healthcare services M&A experience having led the acquisition efforts of U.S. HealthWorks, a national, multi-site, specialty physician practice operator
- Eight-year experience leading the corporate development efforts of a PE backed, operator of multisite specialty physician practices (occupational medicine and urgent care).
- Built a business development program that lead to the acquisition of over 130 medical clinic locations through over 40 transactions. Near all transactions were proprietary, non-intermediary led transactions.
- Responsible for all aspects of the business development / mergers & acquisitions process including initiation of a robust pipeline of transaction opportunities, transaction target profiling and assessment, business valuation, deal structuring, negotiations of legal documentation, management of due diligence process and successful post-transaction integration and implementation.
- Drove the Company’s nationwide expansion by leading the entrance into 8 new states through “beachhead” acquisitions.
- Resulted in a tripling of EBITDA and culminated in the sale of the company to Concentra, a division of Select Medical, in a transaction valued at over $750 million. The Company ended with over 260 medical clinics in more than 20 states, employing more than 4,000 employees, and over 1,000 medical providers.
Strong Behavioral Health experience having led the growth efforts of a regional multi-site Behavior Health provider
- Led the M&A and new market development efforts of Autism Learning Partners, a PE backed multi-site, multi-state behavioral health provider.
- Developed of a robust pipeline of proprietary and intermediary-led acquisition opportunities.
- Within first year completed two corporate acquisitions, both non-auctioned proprietary deals, with two additional acquisition opportunities under Letter of Intent.
- Led new market Denovo growth strategy – within the first year, successfully entered 15 new metro market including five new states, with another 16 metro markets in pre-planning stage with targeted launch within the next six months.
Extensive middle market investment banking experience
- Eight-year experience as a senior deal team member of regionally focused, middle market M&A advisory firms including McGladrey Capital Markets and B. Riley Financial.
- Successfully completed a number of healthcare sell-side advisory transactions and as well as a number of buy-side advisory engagements.
